Adopting cloud and SaaS system – an opportunity to reduce costs

The adoption of Cloud solutions is growing among institutions, not only does it provide a secure, flexible, Cloud-based platform, which integrates with existing applications, but is fundamental to the adoption of next-generation capabilities such as AI, which are growing in value.

During 2023 Nucleus Research interviewed 480 organizations, across various industries, regarding their preferred deployment, and found that Cloud migration was the main priority for 73%. They identified that the benefit-to-cost ratio of Cloud migrations has increased by 12.5% since 2021 while on-premises costs continue to rise.

Nucleus adds that not only did Cloud migration result in a 20% reduction in IT costs, a vital factor for pressed institutions, but that managerial productivity can be increased by 15%, showing that the Cloud is not just a cost-cutting solution but can optimize operations for flexibility, productivity, and growth.
